Leases

Leases of property for the term of a specified number of lives were made already in the eighth and ninth centuries, though the lease, as such, is best exemplified by the series of leases granted by successive bishops of Worcester in the late ninth, tenth, and eleventh centuries. In Latin and in English. <Extract from S 1244-1409.> <Content to be developed.>
